Bull Riders Canada Inc. Announces BRC Relief Foundation

CALGARY, Alberta -- Bull Riders Canada Inc. is proud to announce the launch of the BRC Relief Foundation.

Thanks to the vision and financial contributions of the Airdrie Oilmen’s Association and Two Bit Bucking Bulls, the Bull Riders Canada (BRC) Relief Foundation, a Non-profit Foundation registered within the Province of Alberta, has been formed to provide financial assistance to injured Bull Riders, Bullfighters and other qualified Bull Riders Canada Inc. Members.

“The AOA are beyond proud to help kick-start the BRC Rider Relief Program," said Adrian Pruden, President of the Airdrie Oilmen’s Association. "The BRC and their stable of athletes have been instrumental in the recent success of the AOA Bikes & Bulls Event. We have seen some spectacular rides this past season, and there have been some unfortunate spills that have resulted in contestants experiencing injuries ranging in severity. These athletes put their hearts, souls, and bodies on the line in pursuit of their passion. Some have missed work or spent time in hospital due to these injuries, and this fund will help provide these athletes with financial assistance that they may have lost as a result of their injuries.”

"We want to be a leader in our industry and give back to Cowboys and other BRC Members in a tangible way,"said Russell Friend, BRC President. "We wouldn't have been able to do it without the support of great companies. We would like to thank the Airdrie Oilmen's Association and Two Bit Bucking Bulls for their generous donations."

If you or your company would like donate funds to the BRC Relief Foundation, call the BRC Office at (403) 589-5566 for more details. We thank you in advance for your generosity.

Bull Riders Canada Inc. Members looking to utilize funds from the BRC Relief Foundation due to injury at a BRC Event must complete the Application for Assistance in full and submit it back to the BRC Office.

Birks in Familiar Territory After First BRC of 2015

HIGH PRAIRIE, Alberta -- Australian bull rider Josh Birks has yet to win a year-end championship for Bull Riders Canada Inc. but he and Brian Hervey are far in the lead for the all-time earnings list.

A win for Birks on Saturday night at the Valentine's Day BRC in High Prairie moved him within $1,100 of Hervey for first all time. Hervey's $28,433 has him first with the inaugural BRC National Championship from 2013 and $1,653 from a long go win in High Prairie with an 85 on Pipsqueak from Thompson Rodeo.

Birks, with his $4,913 from High Prairie moves his all time winnings in the BRC to $27,340 in just over two years. On Saturday night, his scores of 81.5 in the long go and 82 in the short go earned him the event win, his first of 2015 in the first event this calendar year. As the only man to ride in the short go on Thompson Rodeo's Talk is Cheap, Birks earned $4,500 alone in that round.

Third on the all-time list is current BRC season leader and 2014 National Champion Cole Young with $23,114 won to date. Young didn't add any to his earnings in High Prairie but did add to his points total to increase his lead to 120 points over second-place Hervey.

Third overall in High Prairie was young-gun Logan Biever while Manitoba's Landon Lockhart rounded out the top four to sit third in the BRC season standings to this point.

Lynx Brand Fence and CARTEL Energy Services renew Season Partnerships with Bull Riders Canada Inc.

CALGARY, Alberta -- Bull Riders Canada Inc. is excited to announce that Lynx Brand Fence and CARTEL Energy Services have each renewed as Season Partners for the 2015 Season.

"The momentum and growth of Bull Riders Canada Inc. since inception is truly something that we are thankful to have been involved with and look forward to sharing for another fantastic season," said CARTEL Energy Services President, Dean Falkenberg. "Aligning ourselves with an extreme sport that appears in the geographical areas we also serve makes sense. This partnership is a way to have a constant presence in Western Canada and has resulted in measurable growth to our business."

"We have seen our requests for quotations and services increase as a result of partnering with Bull Riders Canada Inc.," confirms Lynx Brand Fence President, Jason Madsen. "Lynx Brand Fence services the Calgary, Edmonton and Kelowna markets as does Bull Riders Canada Inc. Their exposure, reach and fan base support has resulted in a tangible return for our marketing dollar."

"Bull Riders Canada Inc. is very proud to have earned the trust and support from Lynx Brand Fence and CARTEL Energy Services for another season," said Russell Friend, Bull Riders Canada Inc. President. "These two organizations are leaders in their respective fields, operate with integrity and continue to do things that allow their companies to stand out; very similar models to Bull Riders Canada Inc. When we approached them about becoming involved in our inaugural season, we had a strategic plan, but no assurances that they would receive a fair return on their marketing dollar. The fact that both of these organizations have realized a tangible return and are excited to remain with Bull Riders Canada Inc. for another season confirms that the partnership is working."
