Camrose has a unique format as the event runs over four days and is held in conjunction with a Canadian Professional Rodeo Association bull riding event throughout the same time period. “Bulls for Breakfast” occurs early in the morning during each day of the music festival (early afternoon the first day) and is eagerly anticipated by the thousands of fans that make the music festival a tradition for their long weekend plans.

There were a total of 53 Bull Riders Canada competitors who rode over the 4 day long event. BRC contestants had the ability to enter to compete each day if they wanted.

Birks capitalized on this opportunity to compete by entering and riding all 4 days. In doing so, in addition to his event winning ride on Sunday, Birks' 82.5 score on Thursday saw him also take third place in the event and another 160 points towards the BRC National Standings.

Birks left Camrose with over $4000.00 and a 670 point lead in the standings.

Taking second place in the Bulls for Breakfast BRC was Italo Aguilar from Sao Paulo, Brazil with an 83 point ride on Vold Rodeo Co/Prescott's Apollos Gold. Aguilar took home $2050.00 and 180 points more in the BRC National Standings placing him just inside the Top 10.
