ONE WEEK. ONE CHAMPION

Lloydminster, Saskatchewan - One. The magical number is one. One week. One Champion.

There can be only one BRC National Champion.

In just one short week everyone – friends, family, fans, followers, committees, members, partners and all others – will know who is crowned the 2016 Season IV Bull Riders Canada National Champion!

Friday, October 21st at 7:00PM is the first Long Round of competition where you will see all of the Top 30 riders compete on the one bull they’ve been drawn.

Following the Long Round will be the Canadian Global Grudge Match which pits the Top 5 Bulls in BRC versus the Top 5 Cowboys in BRC. If the Cowboy makes a qualified ride, he is awarded $1000.00 on the spot; if he’s bucked off by the bull, the Stock Contractor wins the $1000.00!

BRC President, Russell Friend had this to say about the Canadian Global Grudge Match “…it is the highlight of the entire season for me. Watching the Top 5 Cowboys go up against the Top 5 Bulls of the season as voted by the cowboys, is absolutely spectacular!”

Friend continues, “…with $1000.00 on the line for each of the Top 5 match-ups, everyone in the Canadian Global Grudge Match is a true cowboy. There are no points earned toward the National Title; if the cowboy makes a qualified ride, the money is his. There is no gate money for the Stock Contractor; if the bull bucks the cowboy off the money goes to the Stock Contractor. The objective is simple from either perspective – cowboy or contractor – Cowboy needs to ride the bull that your buddies and other bull riders thought was impressive all year, showing off your talent; Stock Contractor needs his bull to buck the cowboy off to showcase why their bull was voted in the Top five for the season!”

The Canadian Global Grudge Match Top 5 Contestants Will Purcell, Cody Coverchuk, Griffin Smeltzer, Jerett Nash & Italo Aguilar vs. (in no particular order) the Top 5 Voted Bulls Crying Black – Two Bit Bucking Bulls, Mama’s Broken Heart – Flying High Rodeo Co., Deuce Bigalow – Meston Rodeo Company & Jesus n Bocephus – X6 Ranch Bucking Cattle. Good luck to the Contestants and Stock Contractors competing in the Canadian Global Grudge Match!

Saturday, October 22nd at 7:00PM you will see another Long Round of competition where once again, the Top 30 Bull Riders have another chance to make a qualified ride. Following this second and final Long Round, the Top 8 Bull Riders who had the best scores over the two days will compete in the Short Round on another – even more rank – Bull.

This is where one Champion will be decided.

“Watching the National Champion be crowned on Saturday night is going to be truly special considering everything that cowboy has endured reaching his goal. People may not realize all of the miles driving, hours training, bulls ridden, aches, pains and expenses these cowboys go through each season to even have a shot at the title.” Reveals Russell Friend, BRC President. “Seeing it all come together for one is something to witness!”

Bull Riders Canada would like to extend a HUGE thank you to all of the Committees, Sponsors, Industry Stakeholders (Stock Contractors, Contestants, Event Personnel, Volunteers), and of course the FANS!

Without your support, your trust and your effort the Canadian bull riding industry would certainly not be where it is today.

From all of us at Bull Riders Canada – Thank you!

We look forward to seeing everyone next weekend in Lloydminster, SK for the Wrangler Bull Riders Canada Finals IV!
