Purcell & Coverchuk on Top at BRC Finals
Lloydminster, Saskatchewan - The Wrangler Bull Riders Canada Season IV Finals ended this past weekend with only a 100 point difference between the BRC National Champion, Will Purcell and the BRC Finals Champion, Cody Coverchuk. This was an action-packed show you did not want to miss!
On night one of the BRC Finals, the best score went to Shay Marks, Sunnybrook, AB with an 84.5 point ride on the back of Foley Bucking Bulls' Fired Up Freddy.
All the victory went to the Bulls in the Canadian Global Grudge Match, where we saw the Top 5 BRC Cowboys vs the Top 5 BRC Bucking Bulls. Each Stock Contractor was awarded a $1000.00 cheque for their bulls' performance and the crowd was witness to why these bulls are voted the Top 5!
Immediately following the Canadian Global Grudge Match, the Buckle award and title for Bull of the Year - won by Jesus n Bosephus - was presented to owners Lindsey & Vinee Carlier, X6 Ranch Bucking Cattle.
Along with the Bull of the Year, other awards presented on night one included Event of the Year Award which went to the Cochrane, Alberta BRC put on by the Cowboys for A Cure Committee. Congratulations to Cowboys for a Cure on receiving this coveted award that is voted on by BRC Members.
Will Purcell accepted his Buckle award for his well deserved position in the BRC National Standings as Season Leader.
