BRC Increases Chances for Contestants to make Finals

April 18, 2018

Irricana, Alberta - Bull Riders Canada is pleased to announce a number of ways BRC Member Contestants will have an increased shot at winning their share of the combined $29,000.00 prize money at this year’s Finals event – not to mention the chance to be the average winner, and take home the guaranteed $10,000.00 paycheck!

It starts with the return of the BRC Central Tour, which includes select Season VI events taking place in the provinces of Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Events participating in the BRC Central Tour are double pointed toward the Finals.

Bull Riders will be required to enter and attend all BRC Central Tour stops to remain in good standing with the Tour. A maximum of 2 events missed (medical or drawn out) will be allowed.

Contestants will earn points for the Tour based on the event results. The Tour Champion will receive points equal to an event win at year end, which will count towards the BRC National Standings for the Finals. The Champion will also receive a trophy jacket sponsored by Wrangler and Crossfire Bullriding Promotions.

From there, BRC is thrilled to be continuing our Association Partner relationship with the BC Rodeo Association (BCRA), as well as welcoming the Canadian Cowboys Association (CCA) and the Manitoba Rodeo Cowboys Association (MRCA) as Association Partners.

"Working together is always better" says BRC President, Russell Friend. "...giving the bull riders more opportunities, is yet another step forward in helping to grow the sport of Bull Riding - and that is the same goal we all share."

These new partnerships will permit Members from each respective association to enter the co-sanctioned events on their current Association Membership. BRC Members will have the added bonus of these events allowing them yet another opportunity to make those points and climb up the ranks of the BRC National Standings. Being that the majority of these co-sanctioned events are one-head, that means double points.

Good luck to all the Bull Riders competing this Season – we'll see you at the Finals!
